Algorithm to be improved to ensure uniform duration of power outages - Shmyhal

An algorithm will be improved in Ukraine to ensure uniformity in the sequence and duration of blackouts. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting in Zaporizhzhia, UNN reports .

We are responding to public demand for fairness in electricity distribution. We are developing and improving an algorithm that will ensure an even sequence and duration of blackouts,

said Shmyhal

He noted that due to the Russian terror and abnormal heat, there is a constant shortage of generation capacity, so Ukrenergo is forced to resort to blackouts.

Addendum

Shmyhal said that settlementsand facilities within a 20-kilometer zone from the border with Russia and Belarus and within 20 kilometers of the frontline zone will not be cut off from electricity in Ukraine.
