A fatal accident occurs on the Kyiv-Kharkiv highway due to ice

A 21-year-old driver was killed in a traffic accident on the Kyiv-Kharkiv highway after his car lost control on icy roads and collided with another car, resulting in numerous injuries and one fatality.
In the Chuhuiv district of Kharkiv, on the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway, a driver lost control due to ice, resulting in a fatal accident. This was reported by the main department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, UNN reports.

Yesterday, a 41-year-old driver of a Renault Master lost control of the car on a section of the road with ice and drove into the oncoming lane. At the same time, a 21-year-old driver of a Renault Scenic was driving toward him, and the collision occurred.
As a result of the accident, the 21-year-old died on the spot from his injuries. His 23-year-old passenger is in the intensive care unit. The driver of the Renault Master and his 21-year-old passenger also sustained numerous injuries and were taken to the intensive care unit.
The investigator opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
