According to Zelenskyy, the discussion regarding Ukraine's membership in the alliance has been ongoing not for months, but for years.
First of all, I want to say that indeed over a sufficiently long period, when all leaders discuss whether Ukraine will be in NATO or not – and this time is measured not in hours, not in months, but in years – I think that now the number of voices that openly want to see Ukraine in NATO has increased
The head of state noted that an increasing number of allies recognize the level of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex and Armed Forces.
Everyone emphasizes that the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex is already at NATO level and is one of the best. The same goes for our army. NATO acknowledges that the alliance's defense capability will only benefit from Ukraine.
The President also emphasized that partners highly value Ukraine's experience in modern warfare and defense technologies. "Our army is respected by everyone, Ukraine is respected by everyone, our technology companies are respected by everyone and would like to strengthen themselves with Ukraine," the head of state added.
