Recently, a citizen reported to the police that a local resident had thrown a dog off a railroad bridge in Yahotyn.
According to preliminary information, a 65-year-old local resident may have been involved in the incident, allegedly throwing the animal off the railroad bridge. Law enforcement officers continue to investigate all the circumstances of the incident and identify possible witnesses.
Thanks to the joint efforts of concerned citizens and volunteers, the dog was taken to a veterinary hospital for examination and necessary assistance.
Investigators of the Yahotyn Police Department in Kyiv region have launched a pre-trial investigation into cruelty to animals (Part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is ongoing.
