Winter support project launched: how to apply for 1000 UAH

Ukraine has launched the program " Winter support "with the payment of 1000 UAH through"action". The program will be valid from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025, and funds can be spent on utilities, medicine, and other needs.
The Winter support program has been launched in Ukraine. Starting today, in the Diya app, Ukrainians can apply for state aid in the amount of UAH 1,000. The program will be valid for three months – from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025, reports UNN with reference to the Ministry of Economy.
To apply via"Action":
1. Install or update the action app to the latest version.
2.log in to "actions".
3.in the services section, select Winter support.
4. read the program description and click "Get started"
5. choose who the payment is intended for (for yourself or for the child)
Pay attention! If the child's birth certificate is not loaded in the Diya app, click on the "Add child's birth certificate"button.
6. Select the account to pay out.
If you are already a member of the National cashback program and have opened a bank account, the system will automatically prompt you to select an existing card or open a new one. Choose a convenient method for yourself.
7. submit an application for payment. First, carefully check these applications and confirm that you are located on the territory of Ukraine.
8.after ordering a payment, track the status of the application in the Diya mobile app.
9. after the application is approved, the funds will be credited to the National cashback card selected in action within 10 days.
What Can I spend my money on?
It will be possible to spend the thousand UAH received through Diya during 2025 – until December 31 inclusive. These funds can be used to pay for utilities, medical, educational, transportation, insurance or mobile communication services, purchase medicines, books, and so on. They can also be spent on charity. You can't withdraw cash from the National Cashback Card. Funds can be spent both online and offline, but only on determining the category of expenses.
How do I get funds for those who don't have "action"?
The state has made sure that assistance can be received, in particular, by people who are unable to apply through the action. Citizens who receive social disability payments of groups 1-2 through Ukrposhta at the time of the Winter support program will receive monetary assistance through Ukrposhta. The list of such recipients is compiled by the Ministry of Social Policy.
"During the preparation of the winter support assistance program initiated by the president, the key task for us was not to bypass socially sensitive categories of the population — pensioners and people with disabilities. Many of them receive payments through Ukrposhta.
The Ministry of social policy has processed the data in detail and compiled a list of such recipients. The postman will inform you about the possibility of receiving a payment to these citizens when receiving a pension or social assistance. It is important that every citizen, no matter what remote corner of the country they live in, feels that the state cares about them and will provide the necessary additional support for this difficult winter," said Oksana Zholnovich, Minister of social policy of Ukraine.
The funds will be available for use until the end of February 2025 only through Ukrposhta. They can be spent on paying for utilities and other services, as well as some goods of Ukrainian production.
In addition, legal guardians of minor children who do not have the RNOCPP due to their religious beliefs, or older people aged 65+ who do not have the Diya application, can apply for payment of assistance to a branch of one of the partner banks from December 10. The bank will open a national cashback card to the recipient, which will receive assistance.
What You Should Know About The Winter Support Program
The program was initiated to help Ukrainians who need support in winter in the face of Russia's large-scale aggression against our country.
The Ministry of Economy notes that citizens who do not need such support may not apply, or any Ukrainian can, if desired, send the received thousand hryvnias to support the Defense Forces through charitable foundations and volunteer organizations, to purchase war bonds, etc.
The program will be financed from the remaining unused funds of the state budget for non-military purposes.
Opening and servicing the National Cashback Card is free of charge. No taxes will be charged on the assistance received.
The program will be valid for three months – from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025. It is during this period that citizens can apply for funds.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was approached with petitions to refuse to implement the new support program for the provision of 1000 UAH per person. In particular, people are asking to direct these funds to the production of weapons, in favor of financing programs for the rehabilitation of war veterans.
