U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance sold his house near Washington in the District of Columbia in the United States for $1.87 million, according to real estate records, UNN reports citing Business Insider.

Vance and his wife, Usha, bought the house in Alexandria, a suburb of Washington, in 2023 for $1.64 million.
The couple made $228,025 more than they paid, but it is unclear whether they spent money on repairs or upgrades that would have reduced their profit.
The five-bedroom farmhouse with three and a half bathrooms went on the market on February 27 for $1.69 million, according to a Redfin listing. The sale officially closed on March 17, just 18 days later.
Real estate agent Justin Tanner of ReMax Allegiance, who represented the buyer, told Business Insider that he said the house received nine offers.
Real estate records in Alexandria show that Vance sold it to 9 EDR LLC, a Nevada company registered on March 7. The mailing address attached to 9 EDR LLC points to another house in Washington.
Vance will spend most of his time in the official vice president's residence, located on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory.
However, real estate records show that Vance still owns a house in Washington. In 2014, Vance and his wife purchased a townhouse in the District of Columbia for $590,000 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, a short walk from the National Mall.
According to Redfin, the house was listed for rent in October 2023 for $3,700 per month.
In 2024, the Vances' tenant at the time told the Washington Post that she planned to stay there for a while and that her landlords were responsive.
"I like this house. I like this neighborhood. I want to live here for a long time," she said. "So I want to be a good tenant. And I have great landlords - Usha is great."
