Technical issues need to be coordinated - Zelenskyy on the production of Patriot missiles in Ukraine

President Zelenskyy reported a positive decision by the United States regarding a license to produce missiles for Patriot systems. The details were discussed with President Trump; now coordination of technical issues is needed.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has received a positive decision from the United States regarding a license for the production of missiles for Patriot systems. According to him, he discussed the details of this issue with U.S. President Donald Trump, reports UNN.

Zelensky noted that the meeting with the U.S. president was productive.
"It (the summit - ed.) was good and it was very productive. Our meeting with President Trump was also productive. Thank you for the positive decision on the license for the production (of missiles - ed.) of Patriot," said the Ukrainian leader.
According to the president, the Ukrainian side discussed this issue in detail with Trump and his delegation.
Zelensky noted that the U.S. president repeatedly emphasized: currently, only a few countries in the world can produce missiles for Patriot, as others are not technologically ready for this.
"President Trump repeatedly emphasized that today only 2-3 countries in the world can produce (missiles - ed.) Patriot because others are not technologically ready. Ukraine is recognized by America as a country that is ready to do this," Zelensky stated.
The head of state added that after the political agreement, the parties must coordinate technical issues. According to him, diplomatic groups, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Defense will be involved in this process.
"Now, after our agreement with the president, our groups, our diplomats, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense need to agree on all other technical matters. The sooner we agree, the sooner we will be able to produce (missiles - ed.) Patriot," Zelensky concluded.
Context
Patriot is one of the key air defense systems that Ukraine uses to protect against Russian missile attacks. Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly emphasized that strengthening air defense remains one of the main priorities in cooperation with international partners.
