The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft law on granting official status to the Unified State Register of War Veterans. The document envisages the creation of a unified system for recording and protecting data on veterans and their families.
On December 20, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a draft law that would consolidate the status of the Unified State Register of War Veterans (USRVV). UNN reports this with reference to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The document has been drafted by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for consideration.
The draft law proposes to define the UDRVV as a unified state information and communication system designed to effectively collect, store, record, process and protect data on war veterans and their families.
"This draft law is an extremely important step to ensure the work with these veterans. It will increase the efficiency of service delivery, simplify access to social guarantees and provide support to our defenders and their families. We must work to ensure that no veteran or his or her family is left without the necessary assistance," said Natalia Kalmykova, Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
On December 17, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the upcoming launch of the digital service "Veteran+". The new service will become a single platform for providing public services to veterans.
