Trying to eliminate a recruited agent "in the dark": the FSB is changing the tactics of its terrorist attacks in Ukraine – SBU

Russian agents are constantly looking for perpetrators of their crimes. But their tactics have changed somewhat. Now the FSB officers offer the recruited Ukrainians money for performing the task, but in order not to pay the "reward" - they try to eliminate them with their own hands.

This was announced on the air of the telethon by SBU spokesman Artem Dekhtyarenko, reports the correspondent of UNN.

When the SBU cleared the ranks of the so-called "waiters" and other potential traitors, the Russians realized that there were practically no ideological perpetrators of their crimes left, so they chose a new tactic - to act through financial motivation. They started promising people money

- said Dekhtyarenko.

The tasks from Russian curators are also changing. If at first it was the arson of military cars, now it is the explosions of administrative buildings and railway facilities. At the same time, they are trying to eliminate the perpetrator.

Today, the enemy is using a new tactic. It arranges a remote explosion of an IED (improvised explosive device - ed.), when the perpetrator who installed the explosive is still nearby. In fact, the Russians are eliminating the recruited agent in the dark in order to remove the witness of the crime and not pay him the promised money

- explained the spokesman of the SBU.

Addition

For their crimes, Russian agents recruit teenagers, every fourth of those detained is a minor. The youngest detainees were 13 years old. Criminal liability for such crimes occurs from the age of 14. The Criminal Code classifies arson of cars, explosions of administrative buildings and attacks on people as terrorism. The punishment for this is up to 15 years of imprisonment or even life imprisonment.

Earlier, UNN wrote that, according to official data, at least 22% of recruited agents are minors. Among the recruited persons a significant proportion are unemployed, who make up 55% of the total number. In addition, 7% are persons who already had convictions for various crimes. People with addictions, in particular to drugs, alcohol or gambling, remain particularly vulnerable to enemy influences.
