The President confirmed the implementation of the long-range sanctions plan after the strike on the Tyumen Oil Refinery. He also hopes for the implementation of the agreements on a pan-European anti-ballistic shield.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the military of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for strikes deep into Russian territory, carried out by modernized FP drones manufactured by the Ukrainian company Fire Point. The head of state also hopes for the implementation of agreements with international partners regarding the creation of a pan-European anti-ballistic shield, reports UNN.

"There is also reason to thank our warriors, in particular the warriors of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our long-range sanctions reached the Tyumen region in Russia, that is also an oil refinery. More than two thousand kilometers from our state border. Effective. New modernized FP drones have been tested: now they can reach targets at a distance of 3 thousand kilometers. Grateful to the engineers of Fire Point. Completely fair responses to Russian strikes against our state. The plan of Ukrainian long-range sanctions is being implemented,"
The President also hopes for the implementation of agreements with international partners reached over the past week, including regarding the creation of an anti-ballistic shield over Europe with the participation of Ukraine.
"Currently, the pressure is still insufficient, and this week we managed to reach new agreements with our partners, particularly with America, so that the pressure would still be sufficient. The USA and all partners in Europe in the Group of Seven (G-7 – ed.) equally assess the situation and are ready to support Ukraine further… our teams are in contact almost every day, the priorities are obvious – air defense, anti-ballistic defense, sanctions against Russia. We expect that the agreements reached this week will lead to the necessary results,"
Reminder
In the Russian Federation, they reported a drone attack on the Tyumen Oil Refinery (formerly the Antipinsky Oil Refinery).
In addition, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Moscow Oil Refinery suspended oil refining for an indefinite period after being hit by Ukrainian strike drones on June 18, 2026.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes on the Moscow Oil Refinery and in the Rostov region. The strikes were carried out, in particular, by FP-1 strike drones, manufactured by the Ukrainian company Fire Point. The Russian "Pantsir" air defense system proved incapable of effectively countering the drones.
This is the second strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery.
Prior to this, on June 16, drone attacks on oil facilities were recorded in the Moscow region and the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. Footage was also posted online showing an FP-1 strike drone maneuvering in the sky over Moscow, created by the company Fire Point for deep strikes on enemy territory. Analysts point out that the affected oil refinery is located approximately 15 kilometers from the Kremlin.
Addendum
Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that he is discussing in Brussels the creation of a European anti-ballistic system. The project will combine Ukrainian developments with technologies from EU partners.
The pan-European anti-ballistic shield – Freyja, with the initiative for its creation put forward by Ukraine, will be based on the Ukrainian ballistic interceptor missile FP-7.x, created by the Ukrainian manufacturer Fire Point. It is called an analogue of the American Patriot PAC-3 system. However, Ukrainian missiles are significantly cheaper - their price is expected to be about 700 thousand dollars per unit compared to 3.8 million dollars for one American one.
The FP-7.x during a recent test reached a flight altitude of 25 kilometers, which is comparable to the performance of the Patriot system.
On June 16, the German radar system manufacturer Hensoldt joined the project to create the pan-European anti-ballistic shield Freyja. According to information from open sources, Freyja will include, in addition to German long-range detection radars, also an illumination and guidance radar Weibel GFTR-2100/48 or Leonardo KRONOS Land.
The command post will be based on the Norwegian Kongsberg Fire Distribution Center system. One of the key features of the system will be an open architecture and the use of Network Access Nodes modules, which will allow the integration of additional solutions and components. Data exchange between all elements of the complex will be carried out via the tactical Link 16 channel, standardized according to STANAG 5516.
It is this protocol that should ensure the integration of Freyja into the existing air defense system of Ukraine and other European countries. The chief designer of Fire Point, Denys Shtilerman, reported that the interceptor missile has successfully passed testing, but clarified – for the missile to actually shoot down ballistic targets, it needs to be integrated with a seeker head, command center, and radars.
