The Navy explains why russian troops will not be able to land on the Black Sea coast in Odesa region
Kyiv • UNN
The Ukrainian Navy spokesperson explained why the Russian landing force will not be able to land on the Odesa coast. This requires the support of ground troops, which are not available, and ships cannot approach because of the threat from coastal artillery.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk explained that a hypothetical russian landing on the Odesa coast of the Black Sea would require the support of ground troops. At the same time, the occupiers could immediately come under fire from coastal missile artillery troops. Pletenchuk said this during a telethon, according to a correspondent of UNN.

According to him, such threats remain relevant, as the enemy does not abandon such targets.
When the russian dictator talks about agreements "based on the realities on the ground," for some reason he does not want to proceed "from the realities on the water." Plans are one thing, but capability is something else. Such operations are not conducted as an independent type of operation. The land component of such operations stalled at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Therefore, they cannot conduct such an operation on their own. In addition, they cannot approach our coast. They cannot even leave the Novorossiysk base. And to approach our coast is to come under fire from coastal missile artillery troops
He also added that russia's airborne capabilities are quite low.
Out of 13 large amphibious assault ships, 5 remain in service. Therefore, this (landing - ed.) is currently impossible
