Former Pentagon official Tony Hu said that Taiwan has transferred its surplus batteries of HAWK anti-aircraft missile systems to the Ukrainian Air Force.
In an interview on the RJ War Room YouTube channel, Hu confirmed reports from 2023 about a US-brokered agreement between Taiwan and Ukraine on air defense systems.
Taiwan's MIM-23 Homing All-the-Way Killer missiles, along with launchers and radars, will complement the additional HAWKs that Ukraine has already received from the United States and Spain. In total, Ukraine will be able to deploy up to 15 Raytheon HAWK batteries, each equipped with at least six launchers with three missiles and associated radars.
Presumably, taking into account Ukraine's combat losses and the delivery of new equipment, HAWK systems could make up almost a third of Ukraine's air defense forces.
