Starmer said the Ukrainian summit in Paris was "very constructive".
"There was absolute clarity that Russia is trying to delay (peace - ed.), is playing games, and we must be absolutely clear about this," Starmer said.
According to him, the leaders agreed that Ukraine needs more support "to ensure that Ukraine occupies the strongest possible position both now and in further negotiations".
Starmer also noted that there was "complete clarity that now is not the time to lift sanctions".

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also came to the press approach with Starmer after the summit.
Zelenskyy noted that he was pleased to see the commitment "not to lift any sanctions until Russia ends this war".
He added that he wants "more pressure" on Russia.
"More sanctions packages (against Russia - ed.) are important," Zelenskyy stressed.
