SBU employee passed data on Ukrainian operatives to the FSB; treason charges are being prepared

An SBU major passed data on operatives and counterintelligence measures to the FSB via Telegram. The woman has been detained on suspicion of high treason.

An SBU employee has been detained on suspicion of passing data on Ukrainian operatives to the FSB, UNN reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, an employee of one of the territorial departments of the Security Service of Ukraine has been detained

According to the investigation, the SBU major, having official access to information resources, collected and transmitted restricted information to a representative of the Russian special services.
This concerns data on SBU employees involved in operational-search and counterintelligence activities, as well as information about objects regarding which relevant measures were being conducted or planned
The investigation established that between October 2025 and April 2026, she transmitted this information via the Telegram messenger. To communicate with the Russian special service, she also used her father, who resides in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
The Office of the Prosecutor General noted that the transmitted information could have been used by the enemy for intelligence, subversive, and sabotage activities against Ukraine, as well as for attempts to neutralize the SBU's counterintelligence capabilities.
The SBU employee was detained on May 12, 2026. Currently, a notice of suspicion is being prepared for her regarding high treason committed under martial law under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Prosecutors will also petition for a preventive measure in the form of detention
