Russian special services are trying to find out personal data from the families of prisoners of war and missing persons, promising to "help" find their loved ones.
The special services of the aggressor country are trying to lure out personal data from the families of prisoners of war and missing persons in exchange for alleged "help" in finding their loved ones. This was warned by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports with reference to Lubinets' statement on Telegram.

According to Lubinets, the enemy resorts to various insidious methods to obtain any information from the families of prisoners of war and missing persons.
Recently, Russian special services have been promising families of prisoners of war and missing persons to find their loved ones through numerous Telegram channels. In return, they ask for personal data and other information. The same scheme is used by fraudsters to lure money and profit from people's grief
The Ombudsman urged not to disclose any personal data in order not to harm the relatives who are in captivity or missing. This includes residential addresses, phone numbers and other contacts, full name of the serviceman, rank, call sign, brigade number, unit number, location, photos, videos, social media profiles, etc.
"Given the enemy's cunning, I strongly recommend that families of prisoners of war and missing persons be careful, ignore any unauthorized and unofficial messages, and report suspicious cases to law enforcement agencies. Remember! Only state-authorized bodies can search for your relatives free of charge," Lubinets added.
