Russia launched a fake about the preparation of a terrorist attack by the Ukrainian authorities against its own population - CPD
Kyiv • UNN
The Center for Countering Disinformation has refuted the Russian fake about the alleged preparation by Ukraine of a terrorist attack against its own population. The disinformation was accompanied by a fake video.

A Russian fake is being intensively spread online claiming that Ukraine's leadership is allegedly "preparing a large-scale terrorist act against its own population to blame Russia." This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), informs UNN.
Details
It is noted that this disinformation is accompanied by a video styled after the corporate identity of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). However, in reality, such material does not exist on the official resources of the analytical center, and the video is a fake.
The goal of this campaign is, against the backdrop of massive terrorist strikes by Russia on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, which lead to the destruction of civilian infrastructure and casualties among civilians, to shift responsibility for war crimes onto Ukraine itself in advance and divert attention from the actions of the Russian army
The CCD points out that creating fake video reports using the logos of well-known foreign institutions or media is a classic method of the Russian disinformation network "Matryoshka," whose disinformation the Center has repeatedly debunked.
Recall
The Center for Countering Disinformation records the start of an active phase of a Russian information special operation aimed at splitting relations between Ukraine and Poland on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Volyn Tragedy.
