Russia justifies its aggressive actions with myths about 'NATO preparing an attack' - explanation of CCD NSDC

Russia uses false accusations about NATO preparing an attack to justify its own aggressive intentions.

Russia is trying to justify its own aggressive actions with myths about "NATO's preparation for an attack," the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.
Russia is trying to justify its own aggressive intentions towards Europe with false accusations about NATO allegedly preparing to attack the Russian Federation
As noted in the CCD, Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Grushko stated that NATO and the European Union are allegedly "preparing for a military confrontation with Russia around 2030." He compared the actions of the West with the "Barbarossa" plan - the strategy of Nazi Germany during the attack on the USSR.
"The use of this historical marker is designed for the domestic Russian audience. By artificially comparing the modern defensive NATO bloc with the Third Reich, the Kremlin seeks to mobilize Russian society and mentally prepare the population for potential participation in combat operations against European states," explained the CCD of the NSDC.
As noted, "it is characteristic that these absurd accusations from the Russian Federation appear against the backdrop of warnings from Western intelligence that it is Russia that may carry out an armed attack on Alliance states by 2030." "Mirroring reality, the Kremlin is trying to get ahead of the curve and present its aggressive actions against European states as 'forced defense,'" stated the CPD.
"The Kremlin once again uses the tactic of shifting responsibility to mask its own plans for destabilizing European security and justify further escalation," emphasized the CCD of the NSDC.
