Odesa RMA reports 90% readiness of fortifications in the region.

Odesa region continues to strengthen its defense capabilities against the backdrop of the aggressor's insidious actions. According to the latest data from the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the readiness of fortifications in the region is 90%. This high rate indicates significant progress in the construction and strengthening of strategically important facilities, UNN reports.

The Odesa RMA notes that the fortification works include the construction of new defensive lines, strengthening of existing positions, and modernization of infrastructure that ensures the security of the region.

The focus is on protecting key transportation routes, strategic facilities and the coastline. The work is being carried out using the latest technologies and recommendations of military experts to maximize the effectiveness of the defenses. A special commission has been set up to control prices and budget expenditures, the regional administration added.

The works are expected to be completed in the near future, which will significantly increase the level of security and protection of the region in the face of a military threat. Odesa RMA calls on citizens to remain calm and trust the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

One of the main elements of the fortifications is the barrier pyramid PZ-1 or "dragon's tooth". The price of one pyramid is about 2000 UAH per piece. Sometimes is higher.

In December 2023, the pyramid price recommended by the Ministry of Economy was UAH 1800. This figure was based on commercial offers from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and non-profit organizations. However, the current price may have risen due to inflation, staff shortages, and strong demand for the product in many regions of the country, from west to east.

Currently, the eastern regions of Ukraine continue to actively purchase dragon's teeth, as evidenced by the Prozorro website.
