At a press conference, Putin spoke of a “normal” economy in Russia and compared the war to a “dzhuzhukha.” He proposed to conduct an “experiment” with an “Oreshnik” missile against Ukrainian air defense in Kyiv.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin equated the war with a “dzhuzhukha” at a press conference today, December 19, spoke of a “normal” situation in the Russian economy and proposed an “experiment” to see if Ukraine's air defense could shoot down an “Oreshnik” missile, UNN reports.
Putin's “direct line” began with a joke about the war. When asked about the state of the economy, he answered ironically:
“When everything is measured and stable, we get bored. As soon as the excitement starts, everything whistles at our temples - seconds and bullets - we get scared. But everything is tied to the economy. The situation with the economy is normal.
According to Putin, the Russian economy is doing better than Germany's and will grow faster than the US and eurozone economies; wages will also rise.
Putin was also asked whether the Oreshniks could shoot down air defense forces. the Russian dictator responded by proposing an “experiment”: to specify a target in Kyiv, to bring all air defense forces there, and then the Russians would strike with the Oreshniks
“We will conduct such an experiment and such a technological duel and see what happens. I think it will be useful for the American side as well,” Putin said.
The dictator also said that Russia has someone to talk to in Ukraine, because there are allegedly a lot of “their people” here.
