Power shortage: tomorrow Ukraine may limit electricity consumption for business and industry
Kyiv • UNN
On April 18, Ukraine may introduce controlled power supply restrictions for industrial consumers due to increased electricity consumption and power shortages caused by Russian attacks on power plants.
Tomorrow, April 18, there may be a need to apply controlled restrictions on energy supply to industrial consumers, UNN reports with reference to Ukrenergo.
The Dispatch Center of NPC Ukrenergo informs that on April 18, from 8:00 to 22:00 , it may be necessary to apply controlled restrictions on power supply to industrial consumers (power limitation schedules). They will be applied equally to businesses and industrial enterprises in all regions of Ukraine
The company emphasizes that the scope of restrictions is insignificant. The restrictions will not apply to critical infrastructure facilities and defense companies.
The need to limit energy supply is a consequence of Russia's massive missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian power plants. Due to the cold snap, electricity consumption in Ukraine has increased. A power shortage has emerged in the power system
Ukrenergo urged all consumers to consume electricity sparingly, and industry to maximize electricity imports .
