After very powerful earthquakes that killed more than 1,600 and injured several thousand people, new tremors of magnitude up to 5.1 were recorded in the country.

Several new earthquakes occurred in Myanmar. At 10:20 a.m. local time (6:50 a.m. in Ukraine), an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded near the capital Naypyidaw at a depth of 10 km.
This was reported by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). This shock was preceded by a magnitude 4.2 earthquake in Shwebo, about 70 km north of Mandalay (the second largest city in Myanmar with a population of over 1 million people).
