There were about 800 passengers on the Kazan-Adler train. Nine cars derailed due to a sand truck that drove onto the tracks.

According to preliminary data, about 100 people were injured, including children.

According to Mash, the man was carrying sand from a quarry and tried to jump in front of a train through an unregulated railroad crossing. 

The cab of the KAMAZ truck is completely destroyed - the train hit it right on the spot, eyewitnesses say. 

More than 320 people and 100 vehicles are involved in the aftermath of the railroad accident near Volgograd, and two Mi-8 helicopters are being prepared for departure.
