Law enforcement officers detained a Ukrainian while attempting to sell a kilogram of cocaine worth $52,000. Four bricks of the drug, each weighing 250 grams, were seized.

Law enforcement agencies have uncovered the supply of cocaine in particularly large quantities to Ukraine. According to the investigation, the narcotic drug was planned to be sold on the territory of our country, reports UNN citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

A citizen of Ukraine was detained while attempting to sell one kilogram of cocaine worth about 52 thousand US dollars. Law enforcement officers also found four briquettes weighing approximately 250 grams each.
According to the examination, it is a particularly dangerous narcotic drug - cocaine.
The detainee has been notified of suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, and sale of narcotic drugs in particularly large quantities (Part 2, 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment from 6 to 12 years with confiscation of property.
The suspect has been remanded in custody without setting bail.
