HACC sentenced a former judge of the Kyiv Appellate Administrative Court to 7 years in prison for a bribe of $5,000.

The High Anti-Corruption Court found a former judge of the Kyiv Appellate Administrative Court guilty of receiving an unlawful benefit. By the court's verdict, he received 7 years of imprisonment, confiscation of property, and a three-year ban on holding positions in state authorities. This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, writes UNN.

On July 9, 2026, a panel of judges of the HACC announced a verdict for a former judge of the Kyiv Appellate Administrative Court. He was exposed for receiving $5,000 of unlawful benefit for issuing a court decision of the appellate instance in a case on a claim and in the interests of a business entity

The funds were seized during a personal search of the judge, as well as during a search of the office in the premises of the Kyiv Appellate Administrative Court.

By the court's verdict, the accused was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The former judge was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state authorities for a term of three years, with confiscation of all property owned by him.

The court verdict enters into force thirty days from the date of its pronouncement, if it is not appealed in appellate proceedings.
