The Brovary Dental Clinic received UAH 300 thousand for free services for beneficiaries. The program covers treatment, prosthetics and other dental services for veterans, the disabled, ATO participants and children.

The Brovary Dental Clinic received additional funding of UAH 300 thousand to implement a program of free dentistry for privileged categories of the population. The director of the clinic, Iryna Teslya, told about this in an exclusive commentary to UNN.

According to Iryna Tesla, the funds allocated by the local authorities will be used to serve privileged categories of citizens. “This is a comprehensive treatment and prevention program of our health department of the Brovary City Council. Additional funds have been allocated for privileged categories of the population. These are mainly children, disabled people of the first and second groups, ATO/JFO participants, large families, donors, and labor veterans over 70,” the director said.

To become a member of the program, you need to contact the Brovary Dental Clinic at: 47 Yaroslav Mudryi St. “You need to get a medical card and visit a doctor who serves the privileged categories. These are rooms 6, 26 (prosthetic department) and 4 (surgery). It is important to have a document confirming the privilege,” explained Iryna Teslya. The children's dentistry department serves young patients free of charge.

The program covers treatment, prosthetics, tooth extraction and other dental services. “It's only for privileged categories, because we don't have free dentistry,” Teslya said.

According to her, local authorities play an important role in supporting the clinic. “They helped us with the repair of the clinic, the purchase of equipment, and the opening of a new dental office. We have two programs: one for defenders and the other for reimbursement of treatment for children in privileged categories. We are grateful for their support,” the director emphasized.

Despite the allocated funds, the clinic's needs remain significant. “There are never enough funds. The queue for prosthetics among veterans is especially long,” added Iryna Teslya.

Recall

Earlier , UNN reported that in the Brovary community, local authorities introduced  the program “Caring for Everyone” for 2024-2026, which aims to provide social protection and medical support to the most vulnerable segments of the population.

In , the program provides regular diagnostics for the early detection of cancer. In particular, the following examinations are available to community members:

- cervical cancer cytology screening (liquid Pap test) and HPV testing for women over 21 years of age;

- Breast and ovarian cancer screening for women aged 30 and older;

- screening for thyroid cancer by a doctor's referral;

-Urological screening for the diagnosis of prostate cancer for men over 35 years of age.

Citizens of Ukraine who are registered and live in the Brovary community can undergo these examinations free of charge once a year.

In addition, there are several other important medical programsin the community aimed at supporting the health of the community, in particular, the privileged categories of the population. Ihor Kravtsov, director of the Brovary City Primary Health Care Center, told UNN in an exclusive commentary that one of the key programs is to provide free medicines and medical supplies to privileged categories of the population, including internally displaced persons (IDPs).

In addition, the local authorities of Brovary allocate significant funds to support cancer patients living in the community. The hospital provides them with free chemotherapy drugs, which are expensive because all the components are foreign-made.

Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko, in an exclusive commentary to UNN, emphasized that such programs are important for the health and well-being of community residents. He added that the city authorities will continue to support these initiatives despite the limited budget.
