Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has confirmed the preliminary date of the visit of Keith Kellogg, special envoy of US President-elect Trump. The visit will take place before Trump's inauguration, the exact date is not disclosed for security reasons.

The date of the visit of the future special representative of US President-elect Donald Trump, Keith Kellogg, to Ukraine has been tentatively set. Kyiv wants to convey information from the Ukrainian side that is important to take into account when developing the new Trump team's vision of the path to a just peace. This was announced by Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi during a briefing on Friday, an UNN correspondent reports.

We are involved in the preparation of Special Representative Keith Kellogg's visit to Ukraine, and the date of this visit has been preliminarily set. I won't name it for security reasons, but I can confirm that we are waiting for Kellogg in Ukraine and will be happy to receive him, have a conversation, a discussion, and convey our point of view. In addition, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted that contact between Ukraine and the United States is maintained at all levels, both with the current administration and the next administration, the transition team.

"This is a positive signal that, first of all, the President of Ukraine and Trump are in direct contact," Tikhiy said.
