Electricity consumption has increased, and there is still a significant shortage in the power system - Ukrenergo

There is still a significant power shortage in the Ukrainian energy system after 11 massive attacks. Electricity consumption increased by 1.1%, and there are hourly blackouts in all regions.

Electricity consumption in Ukraine on Wednesday increased by 1.1% compared to Tuesday. Hourly blackout schedules are now forced to be applied in all regions. This was reported in Ukrenergo, reports UNN.   

Consumption remains high and corresponds to seasonal indicators. Today, December 4, as of 6:00, its level was 1.1% higher than at the same time of the previous working day — on Tuesday

- stated in the message of Ukrenergo. 

Yesterday, December 3, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the daytime. It was 3.3% lower than the maximum of the previous working day — on Monday, December 2.

It is noted that after eleven massive attacks by the Russians, a significant power shortage remains in the power system . Emergency repairs continue at power facilities. Hourly shutdowns of domestic consumers and power limit schedules for industry and business are now forced to be applied in all regions.

It is reported that the import of electricity today will take place during the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova. With a total volume of 10,218 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 800 MW in individual hours.
