FC Dynamo defeated FC Kolos with a score of 2:1 thanks to goals from Mykhavko and Yarmolenko. On the day of their 99th anniversary, the Kyiv side solidified their position in fourth place in the UPL standings.

On its birthday, Kyiv's Dynamo defeated Kolos Kovalivka 2-1 in the 28th round of the Ukrainian Premier League. Taras Mykhavko and Andriy Yarmolenko scored for the Kyiv side—marking the 122nd goal for the latter—while Anton Salabay scored for the Kovalivka team, UNN reports.
Details
Dynamo opened the scoring as early as the 8th minute of the match: Vitaliy Buyalskyi delivered a corner kick to the head of Taras Mykhavko, who headed it toward Kolos goalkeeper Ivan Pakholyuk. However, the keeper failed to secure the ball and fumbled it into his own net - 1:0.
In the 13th minute, Kolos defender Mykyta Burda fouled Buyalskyi in his own penalty area, prompting the referee to award a penalty, which Andriy Yarmolenko successfully converted.
Notably, this goal was Yarmolenko's 122nd in the UPL. Currently, Yarmolenko ranks 3rd on the list of all-time UPL top scorers, trailing only former Dynamo players Serhiy Rebrov (123 goals) and Maksim Shatskikh (124 goals).
In the second half, Kolos managed to narrow the gap through the efforts of Anton Salabay - 2:1.
Ultimately, the match ended in favor of the Kyiv side, who are celebrating their 99th anniversary today.
After 28 rounds, Dynamo sits in 4th place in the UPL with 51 points. Kolos occupies 7th place with 46 points.
Addition
Today, May 13, 2026, Dynamo Kyiv celebrates 99 years since its founding. Over its nearly century-long history, the club has won dozens of trophies, brought fame to Ukraine on the European stage, and become a symbol of strength, tradition, and the indomitable spirit of Ukrainian football. However, this day is also marked by grief for Ukrainian football, as today, 24 years ago, the legendary Ukrainian Dynamo coach Valeriy Lobanovskyi passed away.
May 2002 became a "black day" for Dynamo and all of Ukrainian football. On May 7, 2002, Dynamo Kyiv arrived in Zaporizhzhia for a match against local Metalurh as part of the 21st round of the Ukrainian Championship. In recent years, due to deteriorating health, Valeriy Lobanovskyi had missed a number of Dynamo's away matches. Doctors advised the coach against the trip to Zaporizhzhia, but Lobanovskyi decided to fly with the team.
In the middle of the first half, Lobanovskyi began to feel unwell; ambulance medics gave him medication, but Valeriy Vasyliovych flatly refused to go to the hospital. At the midpoint of the match, it seemed the "Maestro" was feeling better, but doctors continued to stand by the coaching bench.
The final whistle confirmed Dynamo's victory, but some fans did not leave the stadium, waiting for news on Lobanovskyi's condition. The 63-year-old coach once again tried to refuse hospitalization—he even walked to the ambulance himself with the help of doctors. Valeriy Vasyliovych was brought to the intensive care unit of the Zaporizhzhia City Emergency Hospital with a stroke following a hypertensive crisis.
On May 13, it was announced that the legendary coach had died in the hospital without regaining consciousness. Lobanovskyi passed away on the birthday of Dynamo Kyiv—exactly 75 years since its founding.
