In Ukraine, bad weather has cut off power to 36 settlements in 2 regions. Kharkiv region has hourly power outage schedules. Ukrainians are urged to conserve electricity from 19:00 to 22:00. This was reported on Monday by NPC Ukrenergo and the Ministry of Energy, UNN reports.
Details
"Yesterday, due to network restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, outage schedules were applied in Kharkiv region, and the restrictions are still in effect today," the Ministry of Energy said.
According to Ukrenergo, hourly blackout schedules have been applied in Kharkiv region since 06:55. About 240 thousand consumers are without power.
In other regions, consumption restrictions for household consumers were not applied. However, during the hours of daily maximum consumption from 19:00 to 21:00, Ukrenergo called for limiting the use of powerful energy-intensive appliances.
"At Kryvyi Rih disctrict, consumption limits for industrial consumers continue to apply," Ukrenergo noted.
According to the NPC, three power units at the power plants have been put under scheduled and emergency repairs.
According to the Ministry of Energy, due to sunny weather and, accordingly, active electricity generation by solar power plants, the transmission system operator limited the production of electricity from renewable energy sources. Currently, Ukraine's power system is operating in a stable and balanced manner, the Ministry said.
Consequences of shelling
"This morning, while performing work, a vehicle of the Chernihivoblenergo team hit an explosive device. Two electricians were injured. The police were called to the scene, the circumstances are being investigated," the Ministry of Energy said.
De-energization
According to the ministry, equipment at a high-voltage substation in Mykolaiv region was disconnected for technical reasons, which resulted in a power outage for household consumers - they were powered up.
A substation in Chernihiv region lost power due to the disconnection of a high-voltage overhead line. Household consumers and industry were left without electricity. Everyone has been supplied with power, the Ministry of Energy added.
According to Ukrenergo, 36 settlements in Zhytomyr and Khmelnytsky regions are without power due to weather conditions. Repair crews are working to restore power to consumers.
Work continues to restore power supply in Odesa region after a fire on high-voltage equipment in the region. As of the morning, 2 settlements remain without electricity.
For other reasons, 416 settlements were without power in the morning.
Due to hostilities: there are power outages in Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Situation at ZNPP
"The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased and is 15.47 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant. All units of the temporarily occupied plant are in a state of "cold shutdown", the Ministry of Energy said.
Import and export
"Imports: during the day from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Moldova. The total volume is 9,242 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,288 MW in some hours. No exports are planned," Ukrenergo noted.
