An expert on Poroshenko, who came to the movie “Bucha” wearing a $6000 jacket: “I would not be surprised if he took popcorn.
The leader of the European Solidarity faction, Petro Poroshenko, wore a $6,000 jacket from a luxury Italian brand to the premiere of the film Bucha, which tells the story of Ukrainians tortured during the Russian offensive. Such behavior is a sign of absolute cynicism," writes political expert Valentin Gladkikh.
"Petro Oleksiyovych, wearing a new Italian Brunello Cucinelli jacket worth more than $6,000, showed up at the premiere of the movie Bucha. He took the floor. Creamy white silk, calfskin suede, and a stand-up collar added weight to every sound from the 'hetman's' lips: "Bucha is a place of pain. These weeks of occupation and the Russian offensive in the Kyiv region resonate with me," the gray-haired man's face expressed incredible emotion, and his hand adjusted his $6,000 jacket (more than 240,000 hryvnias!). I remembered Poroshenko's words that while the defenders of Kyiv region were "cowering," he took up arms and personally liberated the region from the occupiers. Perhaps he even got his jacket dirty," Hladkykh writes.
The expert emphasizes that the oligarch's appearance at such an event in extremely expensive luxury clothes was extremely inappropriate.
"Only a completely cynical character whose thirst for power has eaten away at everything human could think of wearing a heavy 'Christmas oligarch' style suite to the premiere of a tragic film about tortured fellow citizens during the war. I wouldn't be surprised if he seized the popcorn," notes Valentyn Gladkykh.
The expert also points out that a few hours before the premiere of the film, Poroshenko, wearing the same jacket, recorded a video message saying that his faction would not vote for the state budget, allegedly because of a lack of funds.
"The richest MP, the leader of the richest parliamentary faction, wearing a 6000 USD jacket, said that he and his deputies did not have enough money in the state budget. Therefore, they could not vote for the budget. And even earlier, Poroshenko told foreign diplomats about "not enough money" at a meeting on aid to Ukraine. However, he came to the meeting wearing a 2500-euro jacket, from which he zealously cut off the "tag," the expert writes.
As reported earlier, since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the income of the leader of Eurosolidarity, Petro Poroshenko, has increased 25 times. In just 10 months of 2024, Poroshenko gained almost 4 billion hryvnias and has every chance of becoming the richest oligarch in the country.
