On the night of August 1, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 35 missiles and 185 UAVs, the main strike hit the Kyiv region. As of 09:30, 156 targets were shot down, missile and drone impacts were recorded at 21 locations.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of August 1 (from 18:00 on July 31), the enemy launched an attack using strike UAVs, as well as air- and ground-based missiles of various types.
The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region. The Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions were also attacked.
In total, the radio technical troops of the Air Force recorded 220 means of air attack — 35 missiles and 185 UAVs of various types: 4 Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles (launch area — Kursk and Rostov regions, Russia); 27 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas — Bryansk, Kursk regions, Russia); 2 Kh-31 anti-radiation missiles and 2 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles (launch area — Black Sea waters); 185 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parody-type decoy drones (from directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel — Russia, TOT — Donetsk, Gvardiyske — TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 156 targets — 2 missiles and 154 drones of various types: 1 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missile; 1 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missile; 154 enemy UAVs of various types. According to preliminary information, as of 09:30, hits were recorded from 4 anti-ship and 26 ballistic missiles, as well as 23 strike UAVs at 21 locations, and the fall of shot-down (debris) at 2 locations. In addition, three missiles did not reach their targets.
The attack is ongoing; enemy UAVs are in the airspace.
