He graduated from Chernivtsi National University with a degree in political science. He began his professional journalism career in 2000 at the local newspaper Chas. He worked for local publications Svoboda Slova, Chas-2000, and Versii. In 2006, he became a correspondent for the all-Ukrainian newspaper Express in the Chernivtsi region.
