Zelenskyy called on state institutions to speed up agreements with partners after night Russian attack

The President of Ukraine reacted to the night attack by the Russian Federation, emphasizing the need to accelerate the implementation of agreements with partners on defense packages. As a result of the strikes in Odesa, two people were killed and five were injured, including three children.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the night attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine, emphasizing the acceleration of state institutions in fulfilling what was agreed with partners regarding defense packages, reports UNN.
It is important that every state institution, everyone involved in negotiations with partners on support for the protection and resilience of Ukraine, be as prompt and effective as possible. We need to accelerate the implementation of everything agreed upon at the leaders' level. Every defense package now is not just a number, but specific means that protect lives here in Ukraine every day. I thank everyone who works exactly like this, and all partners who help Ukraine
The statement came after the appointment the day before of a new government of Ukraine headed by Serhiy Koretskyi, who previously was a manager in the energy sector. The government has been appointed for now without heads of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the submission of candidates for which are the exclusive powers of the President.
Speaking about the night attack of the Russian Federation, the President indicated that in Odesa, as a result of Russia's night missile strike on a residential building, two people died. Five more people were injured, including three children. "All victims are receiving necessary medical assistance. My condolences to the families and loved ones," he wrote.
The occupiers used 15 KABs (guided aerial bombs) against Sumy region. In Sumy, one person was injured, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, including a library, were damaged, the President added.
Other regions were also under shelling. In the Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of an airstrike, two people died, and five more were injured. In the Kharkiv region, three were injured as a result of shelling. In the Chernihiv region, one person was injured. The Kherson, Donetsk, and Dnipro regions were also under shelling. Overall, during the night, the enemy launched over 130 attack drones and 8 missiles against Ukraine, Zelenskyy noted.
