According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of July 17 (from 18:00 July 16), the enemy attacked with one Kh-31P anti-radiation missile from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 7 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and 130 Shahed-type attack UAVs (including jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas, and "Parody"-type decoy drones from the directions: Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, Orel – russia, Donetsk - temporarily occupied territory, Gvardiyske - temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 5 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 115 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas UAVs and drones of other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits from two missiles and 8 attack UAVs were recorded at 7 locations, as well as the fall of downed (debris) at 5. In addition, the Kh-31P anti-radiation missile did not reach its target
The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.
