Zelensky signed a law on the voluntary return to service of those liable for military service who deserted for the first time. The law provides for the restoration of payments and social guarantees for those who voluntarily return.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law No. 12095, according to which those liable for military service who left military units or deserted for the first time can voluntarily return to service. About it UNN reports with reference to the card of the bill.

We are talking about the draft law on amendments to part two of Article 24 of the law of Ukraine "on military duty and military service"
This law comes into force on the day following the day of its publication.

According to the document, during martial law, military personnel who for the first time voluntarily left military units or places of service or deserted and voluntarily arrived at the place of Service and expressed readiness to continue military service, military service and the contract continues.
Payments of cash and the implementation of food, clothing, and other types of Security, benefits, and social guarantees are resumed.
Initiated criminal proceedings on criminal offenses provided for in articles 407 and 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in relation to military personnel who for the first time voluntarily left military units or places of service or deserted and voluntarily arrived and expressed readiness to continue military service, are not grounds for refusing to extend the military service of such military personnel and the validity of their contract.
