Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi said that Ukrainian schoolchildren are two years behind the curriculum. The Ministry of Education is developing programs for quality education of different categories of students in the context of war.
Ukrainian schoolchildren are at least two years behind the educational program. This was stated by Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi in a national telethon, UNN reports.
According to him, there are several categories of students in Ukraine today - those who study at school, remotely, sometimes from abroad or from the occupied territories. For this reason, the Ministry of Education has developed programs that will be aimed at providing quality education to each of these categories of students.
"A child in the eighth grade has academic knowledge at the level of the sixth grade. In 2022, a well-known study conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development recorded educational losses of one and a half to 2.5 years of lagging behind the educational program. But that was in 2022. After that, we had almost two years of children's stay in online learning, under stress, when the educational process is interrupted due to anxiety and energy problems," emphasized Oksen Lisovyi.
