Ukraine to sell aerated concrete plants owned by a sanctioned Russian oligarch

The SPFU has announced the terms of sale of 100% of Aeroc LLC for UAH 965.33 million. Key requirements include maintaining operations, repayment of debts and protection of employees for 6 months.

The starting price at the auction for the privatization of 100% of Aeroc LLC will be UAH 965.33 million. This was stated by the head of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval, UNN reports.

Details

The SPFU has already announced the key terms of the sale:

  • Maintaining the core business;
  • Repayment of wage and budget arrears;
  • Prevention of dismissal of employees within 6 months;
  • Compliance with environmental legislation;
  • Implementation of the existing collective agreement and conclusion of a new one.

These conditions are aimed at ensuring the stable operation of the enterprise, protecting the interests of employees and compliance with environmental standards by the new owner

According to him, the Fund will then submit the terms of sale and the starting price for the Government's approval. After that, the SPFU will announce the date of the auction in the Prozorro.Sale system.

Addendum

Aeroc is one of the key players in the Ukrainian aerated concrete market. It owns two plants in Ukraine: in Obukhiv and Berezan, Kyiv region, which have been out of operation since July 2022. The company also has an unfinished plant in Stryi, Lviv region.

After Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Aeroc's property was seized and transferred to the National Asset Management Agency (ARMA).  

The owner was Russian oligarch Andrey Molchanov.

Recall

The SBU facilitated the nationalization of the assets of Russian oligarch Viktor Kononov in Ukraine worth over UAH 2 billion. The High Anti-Corruption Court transferred 100% of VinnytsiaPobutkhim PJSC shares and all of the company's property to the state.
