On Tuesday, Donald Trump appointed former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as US Ambassador to Israel.
He “loves Israel and the people of Israel, and the people of Israel love him,” the newly elected president said in a statement.
The next step is for the 69-year-old Huckabee to be confirmed by the Senate. There Republicans will have a majority.
