This weekend, a unique phenomenon can be seen in the sky - a micromoon

On April 13, you will be able to see the Micromoon – a full Moon that will appear smaller due to its distance from the Earth. The next micromoon will be in May, and there will be supermoons in the fall.

On the night of Sunday, April 13, an astronomical phenomenon - a micromoon - can be observed in the sky. This is a full moon that appears slightly smaller and dimmer because it is at its greatest distance from Earth in its orbit. This is reported by the Associated Press (AP) agency, reports UNN.
Details
It is noted that unlike a supermoon, when the Moon approaches the Earth and looks larger and brighter, a micromoon can only be distinguished with the naked eye very carefully.
This is a very subtle difference, and it's not easy to spot.
According to AP, to see the micromoon, it is enough to choose a place with an open view of the sky and minimal light pollution.
Supermoons and micromoons occur several times a year, when the full phase of the Moon coincides with a certain position in its orbit.
According to the news agency, the next micromoon is expected in May, and in the fall - in October, November and December - we will have three supermoons in a row.
Let us remind you
The amount of space debris in Earth's orbit is rapidly increasing, which may lead to the destruction of satellites and the impossibility of using certain orbits. Active cleaning of outer space is needed.
