The meeting involves representatives from the United States, Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan. US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Switzerland, and the Iranian delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The negotiations take place against the backdrop of Tehran's statements about the possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the continuation of hostilities between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to Bloomberg, the parties have 60 days to reach agreements within the framework of a memorandum signed by US President Donald Trump and the leadership of Iran.
