On the night of July 23, Russian troops fired 16 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 23 explosions were recorded. In particular, the enemy attacked critical infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the Sumy RMA on Tuesday, UNN reports .

At night and in the morning, Khotyn, Bilopil, Krasnopil, Novoslobidsk, Esman communities were reportedly shelled .
- Krasnopilska community: an explosive device was dropped from an enemy quadcopter-type UAV (1 explosion).
- Khotyn community: a drone of “FPV” type was attacked from the territory of Russia (1 explosion).
- Novoslobidska community: Russians dropped 3 mines on the territory of the community. There was a shelling with the use of 2 FPV drones (2 explosions).
- Bilopilska community: the enemy fired from mortars (6 explosions).
- Esman community: FPV drone strikes (2 explosions).
Also, on the night of July 23, the enemy carried out an air attack on critical infrastructure in Sumy region.
Earlier, the Air Force reportedthat on the night of July 23, 2024, air defense systems shot down 7 Shahed attack UAVs during an attack on Sumy region. The enemy also used an X-69 guided missile, which did not reach its target due to the counteraction of Ukrainian forces.
