Poll: 72% of Ukrainians would have a negative view of Zaluzhny's resignation

A poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology found that 72% of Ukrainians would react negatively to the resignation of Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, and only 2% would be positive. The survey was conducted on December 4-10, 2023 among 1200 adult residents of Ukraine.

The vast majority of respondents -  72% - would have a negative attitude to the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny. These results of the survey were published by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, UNN reports.

According to the survey, 72% of respondents would have a negative attitude to the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief. Only 2% would be positive about it. Another 21% have a neutral attitude, and 5% were unable to formulate their opinion.

The survey was conducted on December 4-10, 2023. The method of telephone interviews was used to interview 1200 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea). The survey was conducted with adult citizens of Ukraine (aged 18 and older) who at the time of the survey resided in Ukraine (within the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities until February 24, 2022).

The sample did not include residents of the territories temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities until February 24, 2022 (the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol, certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts), and the survey was not conducted with citizens abroad.

Formally, under normal circumstances, the statistical error of such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) did not exceed 3.2% for indicators close to 50%, 2.7% for indicators close to 25%, 2.1% for indicators close to 10%, and 1.4% for indicators close to 5%.
