The MFA noted that the document was adopted on July 8 during the OSCE PA Annual Summer Session. The resolution was prepared by the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
During the opening of the session, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a video address, called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia. In particular, he emphasized the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense system, maintain sanctions pressure, fight against the Russian Federation's "shadow fleet," and intensify efforts to return Ukrainian prisoners of war, civilian hostages, and abducted children.
In the Hague Declaration, the OSCE PA again called on Russia to immediately cease its aggression against Ukraine, withdraw troops from the entire territory of the state within its internationally recognized borders, release three detained OSCE employees, and refrain from any threats or use of force. The Assembly also reaffirmed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and called on participating states to continue and increase political, military, financial, humanitarian, and reconstruction assistance to Ukraine.
