In France, on the night of January 1, law enforcement officers detained nearly 400 offenders. In addition, hooligans burned about eight hundred cars across the country. This was stated by Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin on his page on the social network X, reports UNN.

At about 10 a.m. Kyiv time, Darmanen said that 389 people had been detained overnight. It is also noted that clashes with police occurred in separate places, including Bordeaux.
According to the French Minister for , hooligans burned 745 cars across the country.
At the same time, the minister noted that there were 10% fewer such cases compared to the previous year, and 80% fewer pyrotechnic shots at law enforcement officers .
