Details
A new problem has emerged in occupied Mariupol, which has become a serious challenge for local residents and is marked by the lack of adequate measures by the occupation administration. Stray animals roam the streets of the city, having been left without owners after the outbreak of the war and found themselves abandoned and unattached. This poses a real threat to the population, as animals can be carriers of dangerous diseases.
The situation with the spread of rabies among stray animals is particularly alarming. Recently, cases of rabies among stray animals have been reported in the temporarily occupied Crimea, with most cases involving pets that have become homeless. This fact emphasizes the seriousness of the situation and the danger faced by residents of the occupied territories.
The occupiers' treatment of animals has been reported many times, and the situation in the Luhansk zoo is a vivid example of their irresponsibility. Most of the animals in the zoo suffer from diseases and exhaustion, but this does not bother the local collaborators.
