
IDPs need additional protection, we will pass recommendations to Chernyshev - Lubinets

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights is preparing recommendations for the new deputy prime minister Chernyshev on the protection of IDP rights. The Ombudsman's office plans to create a working group to address the problems of Internally Displaced Persons.
Internally displaced persons need additional protection from the state, and there are shortcomings on the part of the executive branch of government regarding IDPs. This opinion was expressed by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets during a briefing, reports UNN.
Lubinets commented on the reaction of the Cabinet of ministers and the prime minister to the comments on the implementation of the state policy strategy for IDPs until 2025.
"Regarding my powers, I make recommendations, send letters of recommendation to the Ukrainian government. They are often taken into account in their work. In my opinion, IDPs need additional protection from the state, protection of their rights. In my opinion, we have a huge problem," Lubinets said.
He recalled that the concept of protecting the rights of persons affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation was recently presented . First of all, we are talking about IDPs.
The Verkhovna Rada has appointed the head of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshev to the post of deputy prime minister of Ukraine-Minister of national unity.
The Cabinet of ministers decided to rename the Ministry for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories to the Ministry of national unity of Ukraine, which is now headed by Oleksiy Chernyshov.
