Expert: The US has been living in debt for many years. Trump's goal is a new industrialization

Trump's main goal is the new industrialization of the United States. The country is now living in debt. Political scientist Yevhen Filindash writes about this.

The expert emphasizes that the United States has long had a trade deficit, which is growing every year. "The States buy almost a trillion (!) dollars more goods in foreign markets than they sell there. The US federal budget deficit has reached an even more terrible figure of $1.9 trillion (6.2% of GDP). The world leader has been living, in fact, in debt for many years. And the dangerously inflated financial bubble will burst sooner or later. Trump, understanding this, going to power, promised to reduce the deficit by half by 2028 - to 3% of GDP", - the political scientist emphasizes.

Filindash believes that the American president is now trying to reduce the federal budget deficit at the expense of other countries, and not at the expense of his voters from among ordinary Americans. "Trump's goal is a new industrialization of the United States, the reproduction of American industry at a qualitatively new technological level - the same real sector of the economy that will provide Americans with new jobs and a higher standard of living. This, obviously, will take not a year or two, but much more. In the near future, both for the United States itself and for the whole world, one can expect rather negative consequences, which have already begun to manifest themselves - in the form of falling stock markets, etc.", - the expert emphasizes.

"Many of Trump's current steps are exactly what he publicly declared even before his return to the White House. And today he is simply fulfilling his own election promises, that is why the majority of Americans voted for him", - the political scientist summarizes.
