Dzharylgach Island in the Black Sea separated from the mainland again after a storm

The island of Dzharylgach in the Black Sea has separated from the mainland of Ukraine after a storm, despite previous attempts by the Russian occupiers to connect it to the mainland with a sandbar. Satellite data show that the sea broke through the spit in three places, cutting off access to the island.
After a storm in the Black Sea in late November, the island of Dzharylgach island in the Kherson region separated from the mainland again, despite Russian attempts to fill the crossing with sand. This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism, UNN reports.
Thanks to the bad weather Dzharylhach Island is the largest island in the Black Sea, where in the spring of 2023 Russian occupiers covered the crossing with sand, connecting it with the occupied part of the Kherson region, and arranged a military training ground on it, and now it has been separated from the mainland again
According to the Sentinel-2 satellite of November 30, 2023 the sea washed over the spit connecting the island to the mainland in three places. It is noted that the Russian occupiers have again lost the opportunity to reach the the island.
