Czech Republic finds opportunity to purchase 200 thousand more artillery shells for Ukraine

The Czech Republic secured an opportunity to purchase an additional 200,000 units of artillery ammunition for Ukraine from third countries.
The Czech Republic has found an opportunity to purchase another 200,000 artillery rounds for the Ukrainian Defense Forces from third countries. This was stated by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala at the beginning of the conference "Our security is not a given" in Prague, according to České noviny, and UNN.

According to Fiala, 18 countries have joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition from third countries, including Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland.
He explained that in addition to the mandatory confirmed purchase of 300,000 artillery shells for Ukraine, it is possible to purchase another 200,000 ,000 ammunition from third countries.
I consider this a great success. This is another proof that the Czech Republic is a full-fledged active player in European security policy, that it can use its advantages
He also noted that in two years, the Czech Republic has delivered more than a million pieces of large-caliber ammunition to Ukraine.

Czech President Petr Pavel announced the possibility of purchasing artillery shells for Ukrainians from third countries in mid-February at the Munich Security Conference.
According to the Czech leader, the Czech Republic found 500,000 pieces of artillery ammunition of NATO standard caliber and another 300,000 pieces of Soviet caliber in non-EU countries.
