The Kursk Regional Duma in Russia has passed a bill banning "propaganda" for abortion, which provides for fines for violations.

The document was introduced to the duma by governor roman starovoit. According to the Minister of Health of the Kursk region, katerina pisatnaya, it provides for a ban on "propaganda" of abortion and the child-free lifestyle, for example, "aggressive information" about it on social networks.

Violation of the law is punishable by fines of three to five tax-free minimum incomes for citizens, 10 to 20 thousand for officials, and 30 to 50 thousand for legal entities.
